How does the Dock Dog Ladder work with tidal changes?Updated 2 months ago
The distance between the top of the dock and the water line should never exceed 38 inches for safe use (30 inch maximum is preferred). If tidal changes cause the ladder to come too far out of the water, you may consider attaching the ladder to a floating auxiliary dock that moves with the tides. This ensures the distance between the top of the dock and the water line does not change so the ladder can be used during both high and low tide.
NOTE: The bottom of the ladder should never rest of the sea floor. If the tidal change is extreme and would cause the bottom of the ladder to hit the sea floor, you may need to modify the ladder or keep it out of the water during low tide.
